Returning to a drizzly UK after a fantastic few days in sunny Las Vegas for the Acumatica 2025 Summit, I’m excited to share some of the biggest takeaways.
At Cedar Bay, we attend the Acumatica Summit annually, alongside customers and prospects, to learn about the latest developments, strengthen our understanding of the Acumatica product, and build relationships within the UK and international Acumatica community. This year’s event, held at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas (for the last time!), was no exception. While some will miss the familiar Vegas vibe, others are ready for a change. Keep reading to find out where we’ll be heading for the Acumatica Summit 2026!
Attendance was strong, with around 3,500 attendees and well over 1,000 existing customers. Acumatica had a bumper year in 2024, welcoming thousands of new customers to their ecosystem and seeing record numbers of screen loads and action volumes within the platform. Their year-on-year growth continues to impress, and the constant accolades from G2 and other analysts validate the quality and value Acumatica delivers, clearly surpassing other tools in the market.
The buzzword, of course, was AI – Artificial Intelligence – and Acumatica truly delivered. They’ve gone beyond simply mentioning large language models and machine learning, demonstrating a deep understanding of how AI can be practically applied to ERP.
Acumatica has taken a measured approach to introducing AI, prioritizing two key aspects: security, ensuring data remains within the secure Acumatica environment, and practical applicability, ensuring AI is more than just a gimmick.
Acumatica is introducing AI into three key areas of the platform:
1. Intelligent Advisor:
This feature supports functionalities like anomaly detection, analysing data to identify deviations from historical trends. A prime example is identifying customer payments outside their normal parameters. While payment terms exist in any system, anomaly detection goes further. It flags payments that are unusual, even if they aren’t technically overdue. For example, if a customer who consistently pays early misses a payment, the Intelligent Advisor can alert you, prompting a check-in to ensure everything is okay and maintain healthy cash flow. The use cases for anomaly detection are numerous and highly valuable.

2. Automation:
While automation platforms have been around for a while, Acumatica is taking it to the next level by incorporating intelligent activity into the automation process. A great example is within Acumatica’s Case Management Support Desk functionality. When a support case is closed, the system can automatically generate a summary of all interactions (notes, emails, etc.), providing the customer with a concise overview of the resolution process, including details like time spent by support staff. This is a practical and valuable feature for both support teams and end-users.

3. Interactive Assistant:
This was arguably the highlight of the AI announcements. We all deal with tables of data in our ERP systems, using sorts and searches to find what we need. Acumatica has built-in pivot tables and charts, but now you can simply ask Acumatica for the data you’re looking for! For example, you could ask, “What were the top five selling products over the last six months?” and the system will provide a detailed breakdown, complete with supporting narrative and a graph. This empowers users, especially executives, to access critical data quickly and easily without needing to wade through volumes of information or rely on team members for assistance. It’s simple, manageable, accessible, and powerful.

The key takeaway from the summit was that AI is here to help us, the users of the platform. And it’s coming soon. AI features will be included in the 2025R1 release, which was in beta at the summit and will be generally available around Easter time.
If this sounds exciting, mark your calendars for the Acumatica Summit 2026, January 25th–28th, in Seattle! We can’t wait to see you there.
