Cedar Bay offers full a wireless network planning approach, click to see our six step process for guaranteed wireless success

Wireless network planning is a complex process. Cedar bay offers a 6 step process to ensure that the wireless network for your factories or offices meets your requirements for security protocols, coverage, bandwidth and throughput. In addition if we manage the whole process we will guarantee the coverage and performance to provide a cost effective and risk free solution. Our process steps are:

1) We initially determine the requirements at each site, bandwidth, security policies required, existing wired and wireless networks in place, and coverage. Secure wifi networking is vital for internal approval and corporate security. We will often liaise with corporate IT groups to understand what secured wifi network policies are in place. To most effectively operate some forms of secure wifi networking we will use a wireless network controller, if so, we identify this at this stage as it can have an impact on the wlan site survey.

2) Wlan site surveys. This is the key step within wireless network planning. A pre-survey questionnaire is sent to our customers to help identify any complex requirements. Once the wlan site survey has been completed the is a survey document which details the exact locations, hardware details and cabling requirements alongside details on how to mount the equipment with photographs of the locations.

3) Wireless Network planning. From the survey and the security requirements the details of the network and components can be defined. Dependant on the requirements wireless network controllers, Cisco WCS software and other elements can be incorporated to ensure a robust and secure wifi network.

4) Cedar Bay can provide very competitive pricing for all wireless network components and devices. We specialise in Cisco secure wifi network solutions, Intermec RF handheld devices and truck mounted terminals and Zebra printers. For long term support of our customers we provide maintenance contracts on hardware and Zebra labels and media.

5) Once the hardware components are available and the cabling is in place, we can pre-configure devices ready for deployment. This keeps costs to a minimum and ensures a rapid and risk free deployment for our customers.

6) The final commissioning of the network is completed by our engineers after our customers have installed the items and we complete the final configuration and testing to ensure coverage is as expected and guaranteed.

These 6 steps ensure a robust and secured wifi network for our customers. For more information on our services please download the brochure below (or provide us with details in the boxes above or contact us by phone.
